India Confirms Loss of Fighter Jets in Clashes with Pakistan
New Delhi-For the first time, the Indian military has officially confirmed the loss of several fighter jets during May clashes with Pakistan, though the exact number remains undisclosed.

Weezharoz-Speaking on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on Saturday, General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, told Bloomberg TV: “What is important is not the jets being downed, but why they were downed.”
His remarks mark a shift from previous silence by Indian officials and media regarding aerial losses in recent border skirmishes with Pakistan.
Military analysts suggest Chauhan’s admission could fuel renewed tensions between the two rivals and reflects growing concern within India’s military over Pakistan’s evolving defense capabilities.
