Solidarity in Moments of Pain: Pakistani Prime Minister’s Visit to Myanmar Embassy to Condole Fatal Earthquake
Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, visited the Myanmar Embassy in Islamabad today to express deep condolences on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan following the devastating earthquake and the human casualties it caused.

Weezharoz-Islamabad–During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the two nations, stating, “In these difficult times, Pakistan stands firmly with its Myanmar brothers and sisters.
Your grief is our grief, and we are ready to deploy all our efforts to alleviate the suffering of the affected people.”
Myanmar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Wunna Han, warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and expressed his gratitude for this symbolic gesture and the dispatch of humanitarian aid from Pakistan.
He added, “Pakistan’s unwavering support not only reflects the deep historical ties between our two countries but also symbolizes our shared humanity in the face of natural disasters.”
The visit is part of Pakistan’s swift response to the recent earthquake disaster in Myanmar, which has left dozens dead and caused widespread damage, according to reports.
In addition to expressing official condolences, Pakistan has sent the first shipment of humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and medical supplies, to the affected regions.
This gesture is in line with Pakistan’s long-standing tradition of providing emergency aid to countries facing crises.
