Targeting of Senior Hezbollah Member in Beirut: Israeli Airstrike in the Heart of Dahiyeh

The Israeli military has officially announced that its fighter jets targeted a senior Hezbollah member in the Dahiyeh area, south of Beirut. According to the statement, the individual had been leading Hamas operations in recent weeks and was planning an imminent attack on Israeli civilians.

Weezha Roz-Kabul–The operation’s goal was to neutralize an immediate and significant threat to civilian lives. The Israeli military and the Shin Bet security agency emphasized that they will continue their preventive actions to counter any dangers to Israel’s security.

Reuters, citing eyewitnesses, reported that low-flying warplanes were heard over Beirut, followed by several massive explosions in the Dahiyeh area.

Al Arabiya also reported two separate airstrikes in southern Beirut, which likely damaged Hezbollah-related infrastructure.

Analysts believe this attack is part of Israel’s strategy of preemptive strikes to address threats from resistance groups.

Observers suggest that the targeting of key figures in Hezbollah and Hamas signals escalating tensions along Israel’s northern borders and the potential for intensifying conflict in the future.
