Weezha Roz-eslamabad-The attack occurred yesterday morning on the “Anzar” road in Tiarza district, where a landmine was placed along the road to target the military vehicle carrying soldiers.
The explosion caused the vehicle to overturn, inflicting heavy casualties on the troops.
According to local sources, at least 10 soldiers were killed, and several others were transported in critical condition to a hospital.
Alongside the guerrilla attack, in the “Khesur” area of the same district, a Pakistani soldier was shot and killed by unidentified assailants using a long-range rifle.
The TTP issued a statement claiming that the operation was a “response to the Pakistani military presence in the tribal areas.”
So far, no official comment has been made by the Pakistani army or government regarding these attacks.
The South Waziristan region, especially the tribal areas, has long been a scene of conflict between government forces and insurgent groups, including the TTP.
The group has recently increased its attacks against military targets.
