Mysterious Murder of a Seven-Year-Old Child in Badakhshan; Wave of Fear in Northeastern Afghanistan

The Badakhshan Provincial Police Command has reported the discovery of the body of a seven-year-old child in the "Hazara Mishi" area of the Argo district. The child, who had been missing for some time, was murdered under mysterious circumstances.The Hazara Mishi village, Argo district, Badakhshan province.

Three other horrifying incidents in the northeast:

A father in Kunduz beheaded his three-year-old child with a sword. Local sources in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz reported on Sunday (March 19) that a father had beheaded his three-year-old son with a sword.

According to the source, the child’s name was Mohammad Wali, and the incident took place on Friday (March 17) in the Khuruti village of the province. The father has been arrested.

Meanwhile, Qari Zabiullah Hakimi, spokesperson for the Takhar Police Command, told Weezha Roz that a resident of the Mangal Qishlaq village in the Bangi district of Takhar province, due to family issues, mysteriously murdered an 11-year-old girl with a knife.

He added that, thanks to the efforts of the district police personnel, the murderer has been arrested, and preliminary investigations have begun.

The body of Osman, the seven-year-old child from Badakhshan, was found after one and a half months of abduction, on Sunday, March 19, in the foothills of the Argo district.

Local sources say that the kidnappers had removed the child’s eyes, heart, lungs, and kidneys.

So far, official sources have not commented on this case. Despite extensive efforts,Weezha Roz  journalists were unable to gather further details about the incident.

These violent events have created a wave of fear and concern among the citizens of northeastern Afghanistan.

Local authorities have not yet provided detailed information about the motive or the identities of those responsible for these crimes.

Civil society organizations are calling for an immediate response and transparency in the investigation process.

Child rights experts warn that the rise in violence against children in recent months requires urgent security measures and psychological support.
