Meeting Between Afghanistan’s Health Minister and UNFPA Chief; New Steps to Strengthen Health Services
Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan, met today in his office with Kwabena Asante, the head of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Afghanistan.
Weezha Roz-Kabul-During the meeting, both parties discussed improving the management of health assistance, strengthening the health system, the effectiveness of mobile health teams, and transforming fixed centers into sustainable health centers in line with the policies of the Ministry of Public Health.
The Minister of Public Health emphasized the need for greater effectiveness in health services and the optimal use of resources, adding that mobile health teams should be transformed into fixed centers to provide better and higher-quality services to the people.
He also emphasized the importance of adhering to the Ministry of Public Health’s national policies in delivering health services and effectively managing international assistance.
This meeting is seen as an important step in strengthening cooperation in the health and medical sectors and improving the level of health services in Afghanistan.
