7.3 Million Afghanis Donated by National Trader to Families of Martyrs and Orphans in Nimroz

Weezha Roz-Nimroz-At the request of Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid, Governor of Nimroz Province, a national trader has donated 7.3 million Afghanis to the families of martyrs and orphans in the province.

This donation was distributed during a special meeting attended by local officials and the families of the martyrs.

According to a statement from the Nimroz Provincial Press Office, in the meeting, the Governor of Nimroz emphasized the importance of supporting the families of martyrs who sacrificed in the 20-year jihad.

He stated, “Martyrs are the dearest to Almighty Allah, and the Islamic system in Afghanistan is the reward for their blood, a blessing Allah has granted to the country.”

The Governor described solving the economic and social challenges faced by the martyrs’ families and orphans as a collective responsibility.

He further added, “In addition to the Islamic system, traders and wealthy individuals must also demonstrate responsibility and assist these families.”

The 7.3 million Afghanis were distributed in cash among 730 families, with each family receiving 10,000 Afghanis.

The aid was provided with the aim of easing the economic pressure on the martyrs’ families and orphans.

Nimroz, located in the southwestern part of Afghanistan, is one of the border and less developed regions facing serious security and economic challenges.

Since the Islamic Emirate’s takeover in 2021, the province has witnessed an increase in the return of migrants and a rise in humanitarian needs.

Such domestic aid, particularly in the context of reduced international support, plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable communities.

This initiative has been praised as an example of social solidarity in Afghanistan.

It is expected that other traders and economic institutions will follow this model and take steps toward fulfilling their social responsibilities.
