19 Dead and Injured in a Traffic Incident in Baghlan Province
The police command of Baghlan province in northern Afghanistan has reported a serious traffic incident in the region. According to police officials, on Thursday night (March 13), a 580 model vehicle veered off the road in the area of Pul-e-Mulkhan, located in the northern Salang district of Khinjan, causing injuries to 19 of its passengers. Police data provided: - 12 men - 4 women - 3 children

Weezha Roz-North–Baghlan police authorities stated that emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the injured were transported to medical centers.
The exact cause of the vehicle’s deviation is still under investigation, but it is suspected that factors such as excessive speed, technical malfunctions, or road conditions may have contributed to the incident.
The police have urged citizens to exercise caution in mountainous areas and the winding roads of Salang, emphasizing the importance of following traffic regulations and checking the condition of vehicles before embarking on long trips.
