After the defeat of the Taliban and the establishment of the interim government in 2020, the special daily newspaper started publishing as the first free press of the country. The special newspaper Roz Zamani was a product of the transitional government run by Hamid Karzai and published by the Ministry of Information and Culture. But after a year passed, despite Mr. Rahin chanting the slogan of democracy and freedom of speech, between Dr. Seyed Makhdoom Rahin, Minister of Information and Culture at the time, and Mir Haider Motahar, the editor of the newspaper in the President, regarding the importance of freedom of speech. Due to his inability to deal with the criticism of others and himself, he closed the publication.
