The explosion of a mine planted in the center of Faryab

The local authorities of Faryab confirm that a landmine has exploded in Maimaneh, the capital of this province.
Shamsullah Mohammadi, head of information and culture of Faryab, says that around 1:00 p.m. today (Wednesday, 19 December), an explosion took place near the entrance gate of Imam Abu Hanifah Mosque in the third district of Maimaneh.
According to Mr. Mohammadi, this explosion was caused by materials embedded in a motorcycle, and there were no casualties.
The head of information and culture of Faryab considers the purpose of the explosion to be the work of malicious people and to create anxiety among the people.
Meanwhile, a source, who did not want to reveal his identity, says that six people, including three Islamic Emirate forces, were injured in the explosion.
So far, no group has taken responsibility for this event.
